Handheld Durometers

Imada offers a number of options for handheld durometers. These devices are used to test the hardness of materials for quality control or comparison purposes. For example, automotive manufacturers may want to test tires to make sure they are capable of resisting punctures. Products made with foam rubber may be tested with a durometer to ensure they are soft enough to be handled safely by children.

Whatever the application, our durometers provide fast, convenient and accurate measurements of hardness. We supply customers with analog models as well as digital units that offer enhanced capabilities:

Analog Durometer

The E2 Series durometer is available in Shore A, Shore B, Shore C, Shore D, Shore DO, Shore E, Shore O and Asker C hardness scales with an accuracy of ± 1 point.

The X Series durometer is available in Shore A, Shore D, Asker C, and Asker F hardness scales with an accuracy of ±0.75 points. The X Series also offers a model with a long presser foot for small or recessed areas.

Both durometers are available with an optional peak indicator.

Digital Durometer

The TKD Digital Durometer with OLED display is available in Shore A, Shore B, Shore C, Shore D, Shore DO, Shore E, Shore O, Shore OO and Asker C hardness scales with an accuracy of ± 1 point. The TKD Series also offers models with a long presser foot for small or recessed areas. The TKX model has wireless output  and is available in the same scales.
