Imada offers a complete selection of force measurement tools including force gauges, test stands and attachments. The gauges can be used by hand or combined into customized force measurement systems capable of addressing a wide variety of applications and budgets.
Mechanical Force Gauges
Economical mechanical force gauges offer simple, efficient testing by hand or in combination with manual test stands. Mechanical gauges are available in low capacity up to 150 lbf, high capacity up to 500 lbf and compact models with capacities up to 50 lbf. Our mechanical force gauges are designed with heavy-duty metal housings and all-metal components, ensuring that they will continue to provide accurate measurements and maintain their calibrations for years with proper care. The fact that these force measurement devices don’t use any electronic systems means they can be used in hazardous environments without worry and never need to be charged or have their batteries replaced. We also provide a wide range of attachments and accessories with each unit, making them capable of measuring tension as well as compression forces. Optional compression plates, hooks and grips also are available to expand the capabilities of these instruments.
Digital Force Gauges
Digital force gauges feature programmable high/low setpoints with Go/No Go indicators, selectable units: lbf, kgf and N, ranges up to 1,100 lbf, and data output in USB, RS232, Digimatic and analog formats. Peak and continuous force data can be collected and analyzed with optional data acquisition software. Imada digital force gauges are a crucial component of the quality control process in numerous industries including the automotive, manufacturing and aerospace sectors. In addition, they also serve critical roles in ensuring these industries meet their regulatory compliance requirements. With easy-to-read digital readouts providing detailed information about each measurement, these force measurement instruments are extremely valuable for technicians. They can easily change the units of measurement to match the specific application and export the results to software to help them collect important data needed for quality control and other jobs. We include a range of compression and tension attachments with our digital force gauge kits to provide users with everything they need for accurate and convenient testing.
Manual Test Stands
Lever-operated test stands use a downward pull of a lever whether testing compression or tension and feature rapid testing. Wheel-operated test stands feature finer movement control and precise positioning. Distance meters enable the collection of both force and displacement data. Our lever-operated test stands are capable of rapid testing for compression and tension forces of up to 220 lbf. In the case of our wheel-operated stands, they offer testing capacities that range between 11 lbf all the way up to 750 lbf to suit a wide range of applications and testing conditions. By combining these test stands with any of our standard force gauges, special attachments and an optional digital distance meter, you can create a dedicated force measurement system for push, pull, snap, puncture and other tests.
Motorized Test Stands
Motorized test stands feature digital speed and movement control and force-controlled, non-destructive capabilities with our digital force gauges. Integral or external distance meters enable the collection of both force and displacement data. We offer motorized force stands with standard, high and low speeds. Our vertical motorized test stands have a measurement capacity of up to 1,100 lbf, while our horizontal motorized test stands have a capacity of up to 750 lbf. Either type can be combined with our standard-range force gauges and attachments to create dedicated force measurement systems for a wide range of testing requirements.
Force Data Acquisition
Imada ZT Series digital gauges include basic data acquisition software. Optional data acquisition software captures peak or continuous force data and automatically generates force measurement profile graphs with statistics. This can be extremely important for keeping detailed logs of testing activities. Many of our digital force gauges also provide exporting of information to other software packages to enable detailed analytics and better-informed decision-making.
Attachments
Standard attachments and a wide variety of compression plates, hooks, grips, vises and other specialized attachments and fixtures facilitate compression, friction, peel, puncture and other tests. These include film and tape grips, peel testing attachments, wire wrapping grips, tools for measuring coefficient of friction, and other options. They screw directly into the measuring shaft of the force gauge, making it easy for technicians to make changes on the fly.
