  • Up to five test configurations saved in memory
  • Ultra rigid construction, 0.25mm deflection at max load
  • Both compression and tension tests
  • Programmable timer up to 99′ 59.9, in 0.1 sec increments
  • Easy-to-use program dial and menu screens control distance, mode, speed, time and cycles
  • Wide speed range: 0.01 – 23.5 in/min (0.5 – 600mm/min)
  • Force Controlled operation with Imada ZTA gauges
  • Conditional Overload Prevention
  • Stroke: EMX-110 11.6 (295mm) EMX-275 12.6″ (320mm)

The EMX Motorized Force Measurement Test Stand is for users requiring the utmost precision in their force testing. The EMX uses a precision stepper motor that provides precise movement and smooth operation. Rigid construction assures minimum deflection to ensure consistent force and distance test results. The test stand incorporates an easy to read LCD screen onto the base. Use the intuitive program dial to set the mode, speed, test duration time, number of cycles and change other available test settings. The EMX allows users to save up to 5 test configurations into the stand.

Three Modes of Operation

The EMX motorized test stand includes three modes of operation: Increment, Manual, Cycle Modes. The EMX features a unique jog movement control, for precise increment testing. In jog mode, each click of the program dial moves the cross head approximately .01mm. Manual mode allows the user to control the crosshead using the arrow buttons. In cycle mode, automated cycle tests are easy to setup.  Control start, measuring and return speeds independently.

Force and Distance Control

Force controlled non-destructive tests are also easy to setup and program. Connect an Imada ZT Series force gauge to the EMX test stand to enable the use of two force controlled modes and Conditional Overload Prevention. For more information, see the force control operation tab below.
The EMX has been updated and now allows for Distance Control utilizing the new contact detection feature. This is ideal for for spring tests, elongation tests or any tests requiring a sample to be put under tension or compression to a specified distance.

Maintain Force Between High/Low Setpoints

Initial cross head speed is controlled by the start speed setting. Force control activates when applied force exceeds the low setpoint (and below the high setpoint) on the ZT series force gauge. The cross head maintains force between the low and high setpoint for the specified hold time, and then returns to the start position.

Increase Force to High Setpoint and Stop

Initial cross head speed is controlled by the start speed setting. When the applied force reaches the low set point of the ZT series force gauge, the test stand engages the measuring speed setting. The gauge stops when the applied force reaches the high set point on the ZT series force gauge. Ideal for non-destructive or creep testing. The cycle is repeated until the counter limit is reached.
