RS-232C output
Both CW and CCW operation
Programmable high/low setpoints for Go/No Go testing
NTS-6 Motorized Rotating Friction Torque Tester tests the smoothness of rotation and components of small precision motors, such as, gearbox, bearings, oil seals, etc. The motorized tester turns at a set rotational speed based upon the model. See the specifications table for more details. The tester can be used to measure torque in CW and CCW directions.
The NTS-6 has three modes of operation: real time, PP (peak) and PD (continuous output).
The NTS-6 torque tester has programmable high/low setpoints to enable go/no-go testing. 3 indicator lights inform the user where the current torque reading is in relation the the setpoints. YELLOW lights up for measurements less than Low setpoint, GREEN for between High and Low setpoints, and RED for over High setpoint and testing automatically stops.
SPC Capable
Torque data can be continuously output through the USB virtual COM port enabling you to display a torque profile using data acquisition software. Use the special SW-1SV-USB-NTS spreadsheet to create a torque profile.
All new NTS-6 testers include a free 3 Point Calibration Certificate traceable to NIST. ISO-17025 Certificates are available at an extra charge. NTS-6 testers are sold as a kit and include torque tester display unit, torque detector, Phillips tip, cable and AC power cord.
PP: Peak Mode displays PEAK torque value that will not change until a higher value is measured.
GO: Real Time Mode displays TRANSIENT torque values. RG: Output Torque Data every 1/100 seconds.
Measurement start time
Can be set up to 1 second in 0.1 second increments.
Measuring time
Time can be programmed between 1 and 20 seconds.
Go/No go testing
Programmable High and Low values; Green lamp (OK solid, NG blinking).
External input/output
Signal output (open collector): Go and No Go Data output: RS-232C (9600 baud) External start switch input
